Don’t Be Afraid To Go BIG!

Dont Be Afraid To Go BIG

“Small fish often go after big baits!”

I am always amazed at the size of the fish I catch with big baits… I’ll use big crankbaits and spoons if I’m trying to catch especially large fish like big northern pike, for example. Sure I catch big fish, but what really amazes me, is the smaller fish that go after these big plastic meals.

If you’re not having a lot of luck catching fish with regular sized baits, try something different and tie on a huge crankbait. The imitation perch lure seen in the picture would normally be used to catch northern pike, largemouth bass and even musky. But, this typical sized walleye figured it would hit the spot… But, the walleye ended up hitting the spot a couple hours after this photo was taken.

  1. It’s incredible that a small fish would go after a bait tackle that is pretty big. You would normally think that small or regular fish would go for a small bait. I will give big tackles a try and see how it goes for me. Thanks for the great tips and advice!

  2. You actually make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I to find this matter to be actually one thing that I believe I’d never understand. It seems too complex and very vast for me. I am taking a look forward for your next publish, I will try to get the grasp of it!

  3. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.

  4. Hiya, I am really glad I’ve found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossips and web and this is actually frustrating. A good web site with interesting content, this is what I need. Thank you for keeping this site, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can’t find it.

  5. I like that you mentioned choosing the right bait size. It is no fun when you go out on the water and don’t come home with any fish. A good guide can help with baits to use and spots to fish.
